CONNECTING A PAIR OF 12V LED PLATES FOR 24V SYSTEM?

Before I get all crazy and order a bunch of 12 volt "placas" LED plates and wire them in series I think it wise to ask if someone out there has done this successfully...

With a resistive or tungsten load, no sweat, but the LEDS are a bit more complicated than that.

I think I could live with 1,500 lumen paired 24 volt plates. I get tired of "turn this on, turn that off" power outages. Sure would be nice to have a place lit up for several hours. The kids could walk over and the girls could play at least until bedtime. Sometimes the power goes off for two or three days. I am also preparing a 20-amp DC to DC adjustable power supply to recharge my Bi-Pap battery. The generator is a 50-meter walk. Why so far? Because no matter where it sits the changing wind will blow fumes toward the house, and during a storm the wind is almost always out of the north. It will also be great having light out on the patio (60M/2)

But all this hinges on those plates. I can light up the pathway between the house and the generator/battery shed. Woo woo.
