Control Fuse box for Hydralic system 96 vectra

Trying to locate the silver box described by doug. This box contains the fusses for my Hydralic HWH System Model 610.
I have looked under the drivers side dash , not there. Also in front passenger storage bay there is a panel marked "Coach Battery Mode and Solenoid Relays", behind that panel there is not a silver box... and there are no 10 15 amp plug in fusses as noted in the manual.
Any idea where else that box could be?

Thanks

  • The problem you have with the T handles is, they are 20 years old and YES, odds are you will break them off if you force them. The sensing unit ONLY affects Auto level operation. You can still manually extend all 4 jacks. IF you state, that after messing with the control box, another(3rd) jack started working, then that points to a corroded connections at that box. IF you determine that the control box is defective, you will have to send it back to HWH for rebuild. They no longer make or stock that control box. The usual diag is to check EACH jack solenoid for ground and 12 volts AT the solenoid when operating the jacks. EACH jack should have power and ground. Then you go from there. The LINK I sent you gives the Diag sequence. Doug

Found the box... under the exterior front hood on driver side.
All fuses checked good. Did have a mud dauber nest and cleaned that out.
    I have two questions.
    1. How difficult should the T handles on the solenoids be to turn. One turns very easy and the others seem like they will require pliers or some tool and I dont want to break them.\
    2. Here is the strange thing... as i said before i could only get two jacks to come down... well on one and only one occasion after finding the silver box i had three come down. as i said that only happened once.
I have looked for the sensing unit to see if I have an issue there.

I assume i should try opening manually the t handles on all four solenoids as you suggested. After that what next>
thanks in advance your always a

There is a package panel in that storage compartment. It says, battery mode solenoids and relays. However there are no pull out 10 or 15 amp fusses as shown in the picture of what the silver box looks like. There are 2 solenoids and several relays.

These drawings have no relation to the HWH control box. Also, the relay's and regular fuses and circuit breakers are also not part of the HWH control box and system. And not shown on the Winne schematic break down. Doug

  • Link to Winnebago site to download drawings.
Did you check the storage compartment just in front of the door? Wiring diagrams show circuit breakers in that location.

Thank you...I am trying to enter a picture....under the driver das...to the left of the steering column...there is only the automotive fuse box...unless the silver box is located under the carpet. I did call winnie this morning and was told they could lnot locate it on there schematics.
  • Have you called Winnebago? If not at the places I mentioned you will need to call them. Just called Winne. It IS on the Firewall inside left of steering column where your left foot would hit the firewall. Doug
