For less than the cost of just the detachable 50A shore power cord, I installed a second 30A service to my trailer which powers two 15A outlets (one on each 15A breaker) from which I power my coffee pot, electric space heater(s), convection/toaster oven, electric skillet, etc. Details are in THIS ALBUM. Details and lists of materials, costs and where I purchased them are in the captions to the various pictures. Do yourself a favor and physically lay your hands on one of these 50A power cords and decide if you really want to deal with that in cold weather. The 30A cords are hard enough ... that along with cost and need to run new wire from the service entrance to the new power distribution panel are the two main reasons along with the power cord issue is why I went the way I did.
