Converter breaker trips when battery disconnected.

If I plug the camper in while the battery is disconnected the breaker for the converter trips. If the battery is connected and I plug in it does NOT trip the breaker. Normal? Nowhere to dump the s...

If it hurts when you do that......don't do it. ;-)

I see no practical reason to disconnect the battery WHILE THE CONVERTER IS HOT or to activate the converter when no battery is present. Is there a reason that you are doing that ?? It wasn't designed to work that way.
