Converter charging circuit

Yes I would bench test the 9855 but you need some load on it and not just check the voltage. In the end it is probably best just to replace. PD9245 or PD9260 would work perfectly.

Now you found it, plug in 120v to it and see if it does 13.6v out right at the converter. You can check the 120v by using an extension cord from a 120v receptacle known to be live. IAW bench test it before tossing it. It might be that it is not getting 120v.

Yep, converter is a WFCO 9855. Checked all fuses and breakers including the ones on the conveter. Had to take the distribution panel off to get to the converter and looked for any burnt spots or melted wires. The battery has been on a charger but wont hold a charge long now. It's 3 years old. Problem seems to have been going on for a while I guess because the battery seems to be toast. Slides have always operated and refrigerators (2) have always worked properly. I suppose it's time for a new converter.

BTW if you have any portable battery charger it is OK to just put it right on the battery and plug it in asap. If you are super low on charge consider getting down to walmart etc and get something today. Need 5+ amps rated for best results.

Also - check for auto reset circuit breaker near your battery (google because they don't look like typical circuit breaker) - when they go toes up it essentially takes your battery off-line.

Says to use a WFCO 9800 with that panel. The 9800 is a deck mount so first check its RP fuses on the unit (did you put in a new battery and get the wires backwards?) Also confirm the 9800 is getting 120v in where it plugs in. (Check the breaker that receptacle is on and also if that receptacle is with a GFCI that has popped)

By the battery there should be a fuse or DC circuit breaker on the positive wire to check too.

OK then, per these responses I will dig deeper and actually find the converter to see if any of the fuses are blown OR find the model no. of the converter itself. Not sure I can bend myself in half to do it though. Might be back in a little while for an update.

There should be a circuit breaker on the main panel labeled "Converter." I'm sure you already checked that to make sure it hadn't tripped...

Most newer converters have reverse polarity fuses near where wires leave converter.

I believe WFCO8930/50 is just a distribution panel. Converter that supplies 12v power could be close or directly behind the panel.

Have you done any battery service lately? There might be some reverse polarity fuses that opened.
