I don't know where from--because it happened when I was not there. I did check the voltage at the (brand new) battery, and of course it is DOA now. I'm hoping it did not fry the fridge and water heater boards as this unit is a Boler from the 1970'ties.
He has deferred repairs until the spring.

Where from? How can you get AC on the DC side? I have heard of "ripple" but not sure what that is exactly.
If there is a puddle of water in the 7300 and the 120v power is on, the OP should turn the power off while he still can!
