Converter Issue?

None of the late model converters require a battery when plugged into shore power with the exception of operating the slideouts.

Even with good shore/generator power, bad batteries could be dragging the converter output down trying to push current into them. Good batteries are important to the converter working correctly, so I wouldn't underestimate the possibility of battery as the cause, but it certainly could be something else like a bad connection somewhere.

This is what my Power Distribution Panel looks like with the converter module mounted in the bottom compartment. Notice the GREEN board with all the ATC FUSE holder. This is the 12VDC power board. What folks are telling you to check is the 12VDC wires connected to this board with Philips screw connections. Just run a screwdriver down the roll of connections and make sure they are all tight. One may have worked loose causing the flickering or poor non-bright lamp operation. Be careful not to short one connection to another one with your screwdriver.


Just be cautious with the 120VAC side of this panel where the circuit breakers are located. It will be energized if you have shore power connected.

OK that is true just move the wire to a empty spot but also see if fuse isbad

If you tapped the converter, and the lights lit up, I'd check all my connections first at the converter.

Had to read your first post again. If the fuse light on the converter is flickering, your issue is probably either in the fuse, fuse holder, or in the converter.

Check the breaker then the ground and neutral you might also check your battery disconnect it and see if it clears up
