Also be informed that if you get a high powered sound system, you may appreciate it, but your camping neighbors may not. If you think the sound of generators are obnoxious, you should know that here in the States, people at gas stations have been shot to death for not turning down or off their noise pollution rap "boom, buh boom" bass ho trash rap music while filling up with fuel. Just saying... your love of something loud might be another's complete lack of tolerance. Many go camping to avoid noise and hear nothing but quiet. When in the boonies, it's not all about "you".

We have a different concept of "the boonies" I guess. We are out there because it IS only about us. Campgrounds are for those that feel like being considerate of others while still having to to tolerate their BS.
Should should someone be foolish enough to set up close enough in the boonies that they can hear, see or even know the next guy is there and then have the nerve to complain. They will likely hear that they are too close.
Sound harsh? I offer no apology. Quite a bit went into setting up the trailer to support us out there. I spend time looking for that next spot that will have us isolated. I don't do it to have neighbors.
Jim, there's 40 million people in California... to put things in perspective. A lot of them have big toys... trailers, 5th wheels, A's and B's and C's here. And a very restrictive govt on where you can and can not park and play, thank you Barbara Boxer and Diane Swinestein.
I seem to be a magnet for pigs and inconsiderate others while out dirt camping /dry camping. I'm there first and they show up later, a day or two, or so.
It is what it is. California is full of "me, me, me " inconsiderates, especially the younger generations.
JMHO and YMMV and all the other caveats that come with old age, set in ways, and having hermit tendencies.
