Even Lifeline dropped that terminology years ago. They refer to equalization as that thing that wet folks do, Eeeeuuuhhh!

I dunno, and getting into AGM conditioning is probably beyond the scope of what the OP needs to deal with right now. I only mentioned equalization as the Go Power converter he linked to has an automatic equalization cycle (once a week if the batteries haven't seen a bulk cycle). Go Power doesn't specify the voltage of the equalization cycle. If the voltage is too high, it might be bad for an AGM battery.
