- Clever, but I would be a bit concerned about the wiring safety on the 120V side. Just a little bit, not a lot; it looks like it has some good chance to short out given the wrong circumstances.
Another, perhaps less elegant, way to do a similar thing would be to wire up some sort of an automotive LED light to the otherwise not very useful 12V charge output. - Very ingenious, simple, and inexpensive to boot!:C
