If only one side is locking up I would suspect the brakes need to be adjusted properly at the wheel. Once the brakes are adjusted, then you can adjust your controller to prevent lock up or cause lock up.
The slideout will also have a circuit breaker that may trip due to overload. You may have to reset it. Its a 12v circuit breaker usually located near your batteries. Black about an 1 1/2 " long with a micro switch to push to reset.
