Ok Update time.
Finally received the parts I ordered from champion, I found a champ gen with the same engine with electric start and using that model number ordered a replacement fan shroud and air guide. they sent me a plastic outlet cover instead of an air guide and unfortunately the fan shroud will not fit over the starter Champ must use a much smaller starter.
So Fun ok going to break out the tin snips and am going to hack up my fan shroud. not going to wait another 2 months for another round of part swapping with champion.
