CPSC White Paper Radiant Versus Catalytic Heaters

Unvented heaters

This white paper is definitely worth reading. CPSC stands for Consumer Product Safety Commission. Personally I find its conclusions unchallengable.

  • 2nd white paper needed to see non depletion of O2 and non aggregation of CO and CO2 with a vented heater. What is confusing is what constitutes "adequate ventilation"?

Are there 99% combustion efficient vented heaters for RVs? Never have seen PVC exhaust on an RV heater.
  • Help point me to the information. I couldn't find anyplace where unvented heaters were broken out from vented heaters, and didn't see any conclusions. Just categorized data and supporting information.
