I am a little unclear on what your goal is.
If you just like to tinker with solar, then I can understand wanting to do all this.
If it is to be environmentally friendly, well, mountains of batteries and solar panels are not exactly eco-friendly.
Even if you do get 1000W of solar, you will still have a lot of time (I am guessing Canada is not quite as sunny as the Mohave desert in California) where the panels will be shaded and not outputting anywhere near full output.
It just seems like a lot of work, that could be avoided by learning to perk coffee, cook on the stove, run the refrig on propane and occasionally filling a propane tank.
