I have found that an edge seal for Eternabond is generally not necessary. I applied a lot to my roof 6 years ago, and it is still firmly stuck. I did fix an issue on a slide with Eternabond and used an edge seal there, as the seal rubbed on the area each time as the slide is retracted and I wanted a "ramp" there to ease the seal lip up and over the edge of the Eternabond.

ON the other side of the coin, if the weather is cold Dicor can take a tremendously long time to cure.
Some extensive rework was done to my roof on 12/9. Today I removed some Dicor to install a new ant. and it was soft on the outside and in the middle, it was absolutely fresh - after ten days!

I would never use both products. Just not needed.

One or the other, I don't see any need to use both. They are both great products.

The evil geniuses who designed all this made it so the Eternabond and Dicor only work right in the Summer when it never rains and you won't know you need some.

In Winter on the Wet Coast it rains and rains and is cold. That is when your leaks show up. But you can't fix them because of the requirements of the Eternabond or Dicor for prep and application until Spring or even Summer.

So you just do it anyway and pray. Lots of goop and tape between rain times and you know you will have to do it right later in the year when conditions are right. Or just put a tarp over it all and pray some more.

I used some Dicor today and it's about to freeze out there.

If the Dicor is on right I see no need to have Eternabond. At least there is no rush. I would wait for full cure as I understand Eternabond should be rubbed down pretty hard for permanent adhesion.

This is exactly why I pony up to store the rig indoors over the winter and not have to worry about it! :B It is a great feeling in the middle of the night to hear the pouring rain, roll over in bed, and fall fast asleep knowing the rig is dry and safe!
