Cyclone Vent Cover Base is Loose

Question

I recently had this installed and the base has come loose and floated up the spindle as I drive. I don’t like climbing on the roof as I don’t like heights and don’t have a proper safe ladder.  We’re camping and have rain in the forecast. Will it be okay until I get back or does it need to be reseated and sealed?

If the base is loose then there's every possibility it will leak. Fear or not, I would climb up there and take care of it before real damage is done.

Sorry for the late response. I did get it looked at and apparently it isn't at risk for leaking as the bottom of the vent is caulked.
