"This 12 volt 100 amp hour deep cycle LiFePO4 battery
offers 2 to 3 times the power in the same physical
space as a lead acid....
These low-maintenance batteries are a fifth of the
weight of a comparable lead acid.
Our batteries are capable of being discharged to 100% of their rated
capacity every time.
They can be charged 5 times faster than lead acid, so you can get out there and stay out there longer!"
When asking about the "2 to 3 times the "power", I would also ask about "a fifth of the weight"
eg, 100AH LFP is 32 lbs, 100AH G27 FLA is 50 lbs, 100AH AGM is 66 lbs, 100AH SiO2 is 60 lbs.
When did 32 become 1/5 of 66 ?
EDIT--maybe they mean their 100 is like 200 doing only 50% so now two 66s is 132 and 32 is 1/4 of that? using the two 50 lb G27s, that is 32/100 = 1/3.
I would also ask about the "5 times faster" charging. We did that here already so won't torture everyone with all that again.
But-- I saw that video of the BB guys and their tame kid testing guy, so I doubt I would get a straight answer. So actual LFP buyers can do their own due diligence. :)
EDIT-- Relion is not BB! They say:
More Usable Capacity 25-50% more capacity than lead-acid equivalent.
Constant Power Full power available throughout discharge. Voltage does not drop like lead-acid.
That might be a clue to the watt hrs question? How the flatter voltage if LFP works? the Watt hrs are proportionate to the AH per SOC though. Confusing. "Power" seems to be a funny word! :(
