My point with SiO2 is there is no actual data to back up the claims made by the SiO2 resellers, and often the claims are conflicting.
With flooded/AGM lead acid and LiFePO4, there are many peer-reviewed and technical publications describing the performance of the chemistry and it these are widely used in all sorts of professional and demanding applications. We know the cycle life of lead-acid/LiFePO4, we know the temperature effects, we know the storage effects, we know the rates of calendar aging, we know the impact of partial charges, all from independent testing and literature. With 'SiO2' you have to believe the guys selling it - there is no verification.
