If I had an Odyssey it would only be for the chassis starting battery. I would have Lifeline for deep cycle.
The suggestion was in reference to BFL's application where he needed a battery primarily to support a 0.65C draw, but only for a few minutes at a time. A dual purpose AGM would be a good solution for this application with a Peukert coefficient around 1.08. The battery he ended up with seems to be around 1.3.
Jury is still out on the SiO2. I would still have Odyssey/Lifeline and know what I have.
Did the OP ever get the BMS situation resolved?
