Daly BMS gone crazy..Update Opinions

I was charging my 120ah lifepo4 battery yesterday and came in for lunch and saw it shut down..I figured it hit the 3.65 volt cell limit and shut down,I went out to check it and saw this on the Bluetooth for the BMS and it is locked up tight(The Bluetooth BMS)..I can't change anything and it only shows this on the screen..

The guy I bought it from first told me to reset it in the settings,so I did and he was supposed to send me the numbers/parameters to put in but he instead says he is sending my picture to the manufacturer for there take on it..After resetting I tried to just put in Lifepo4 as the battery type but it won't take it..

Hmm

  • In either case, the BMS should have shut it down if anything was out of the norm,I would think anyway..I was told the BMS would automatically shut it down once the cell 3.65v was reached.. Something went array..
  • The Noco had not gone into the final stage yet,it was still pulsing on the fourth stage and has not gone into Maintenance..

I was going to buy a Battleborn and why I asked about the charger before I did,I also ask Lynx about using this charger prior to buying it,neither of them had any concern with this charger and there Lifepo4 batteries..On Lance Owners there is a guy that uses the Noco 26 on his Battleborn battery..No clue why this is happening and the volts at 13.4 volts isn't fully charged,by some Lifepo4 voltage charts it could only be 90% charged and Yes,I know how the charts are but it is an estimate...I do not think it is fully charged but that's just a guess..
  • Looking at the NOCO manual it says that it charges at 14.6v and after 100% charge it goes into a maintenance charge.

"After the battery is fully charged, the charger will continue monitoring the battery, and provide ongoing maintenance and optimization. The 100% Charge LED will pulse “on” and “off” slowly during these cycles. The charger can be left connected to the battery indefinitely."

I'm guessing that it's pulsing 14.6v, if that's the case you're over charging the cells. It doesn't say it lowers the voltage or at least the pdf manual I downloaded from the NOCO site doesn't.
  • I might ad,I took a volt reading this morning with a dirt cheap volt meter, because that's all I had, and it read 13.4 volts with nothing hooked up but the voltmeter via alligator clips..LOL
  • I was using a Noco Genius 10 amp charger with it set on Lithium..Prior to buying this battery I contacted Battleborn and asked if this Noco charger was an accepted charger for there 100ah lifepo4 battery and the reply was yes..
