Twice now I have managed to kill my Interstate 6v batteries twice flat. I am charging them back up now. What kind of damage do you think I may have done to the life span of these dudes? I purchase...

1) Current from a battery does not "leak to ground" under any circumstances. The leakage path, if any, is from positive post to negative post and is TOTALLY unaffected by what the battery is sitting on.You are too young. You could read that I stated, "In olden days"....Battery cases from 60 years ago or so were made with asphalt and maybe rubber. Every back room mechanic knew to place a wood block under the battery so that it wouldn't go dead. ;)
