First thing I'd suggest is to stop trying to run it while it's frozen up because if it's not damaged, it could get that way.
Once you do get it out and thawed, flip it over for a day or so. We use to get RV fridges in the school all the time and that's the first thing we did. Many ran fine after that, the rest were trashed.
