Bob I have been following your chronicles,with the others. At this point I would ride out the winter with coolers or use the ice box idea. If you plan to continue your arctic camping I would focus your dollars on the new four season rig and avoid putting any serious funds into your current unit.
While you are making the most of it and surviving your current rig was never built to survive the conditions you are in.
Do what is needed to make it through this winter but plan to abandon ship for a more capable 4 season unit during the thaw!
