Dash Air Not Working
I have a 2006 Tiffin Allegro Bay on a Workhorse W24 chassis.
The dash air will not come on. Local shop determined that the relay under the hood that pulls in the compressor clutch was not working. The coil has 12V on one side but no ground on the other. Used a test relay that can short across the contacts and send 12V to compressor clutch and everything works OK.
Managed to get wiring diagrams for the dash control unit and the inside heating/cooling unit but cannot find anything for the chassis side.
The drawing on page 36 of Denso LA990009-2492 shows 12V leaving the interior heating/cooling unit and going to a either a relay or the compressor clutch. Cannot find what the device is.
Tiffin says they send 12V to Workhorse and they take it from there (everything on right side of drawing and dotted is the Workhorse hardware). This seems to be working since I measure 12V on one side of the coil under the hood when I push in the AC ON button on the dash.
Need to find out where the ground for the relay comes from. I suspect the High and Low pressure switch's but have yet to verify that. Has anyone got a Workhorse wiring diagram that shows where the ground comes from?? Thanks for any help you can supply................
