The actual date code is thermally embossed into the lip of the lid. An alpha-numerical adhesive disc is placed to make reading the date easier.
Interstate HQ may or may not have a picture of a battery. That's as close as what they will ever get to a lead acid battery.
They pick up the phone and call the vendor. The batteries are shipped direct to their distributors.
Manufacturers warrant to the vendor the product for 12-months. Additional warranty is provided by the distributor.
