Sitting, as I am, next to a "Danfoss Equivalent" I can tell you most of them draw 3-4 amps running, 50 percent duty cycle means 36 to 48 amp hours per day.
200 amp hourss of DEEP CYCLE battery can provide a bit over 100 amp hours safely plus you have the panel to re-charge somewhat.
By the way, Both Norcold and Dometic make that type of fridge as well as the Absorption kind.
That said: your experience with the 3-way was rare, very rare in fact, there are thousands of them out there that have not burned up. Your hole in the gas line however is even rare among the ones that do.
(By the way, My Engel is a chest freezer I got to expand cold storage in the MH, Works great, Highly recommend these high efficiency compressor jobs).
