One thing to remember when looking for a fridge with a 12v compressor is the compressor is still 120v AC it just has a dedicated inverter built into the box mounted on the side of it. You can do the same thing with a standard compressor but mount a dedicated inverter close to your battery to eliminate running heavy 12v wiring to the fridge.
