Yes, if you can improve the fridge with insulation or lower the temp settings by using internal fans, as mentioned, you're going to be able to leave the generator at home.
I'd grab one or two of those BD35 freebies, for a backup and maybe experiment with 12V air conditioning. How nice would that be?
