Since you have power from your house (shore power) why not connect a battery charger to your engine battery and recharge the battery that way? It is a whole lot safer, easier and won't potentially harm your charging system. - rr2254545Explorer

Even my 2008 Winnbago and current have a switch to start it off the house batterie, I am sure you will find the switch on your dashboard

I know if you are in a bind, no choice...but just saying - ScottGNomadIt will work unless the dead battery is shorted internally and then your asking for serious problems, like fried alt. or fire.
