- Don_McLExplorerthey call them accidents or brain fart$ and they happen all the time.
- down_homeExplorer IIMost of the Techs are not there the next time you go by. It takes time and supervision. They only give them so much time to do a job. they are in a hurry and not familiar or interested in RVs.
The Supervisors turn them loose and rarely seem to check them.
Even shop mgr don't care sometimes. They want you in and out and, I'll take care of it and you never hear another word. Call and call and he's not here and so on. Result an awning that at full down is barely level or maybe a little lower. Top hole and it stick up like a flag. Half the little do dads that hold the arms in place are not there on one side of each arm. I gave up. Money down the drain. - robsouthExplorer II

Clean the area around hole with acetone and then slap some EternaBond Tape over the hole.
That stuff seals any/all leaks.
Easy to do.......will last the life of tank and dealer doesn't get it's inept tech hands on it again.
Ain't that the truth. I don't think they will replace the tank for a "screw hole" anyway. Good luck! - Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIClean the area around hole with acetone and then slap some EternaBond Tape over the hole.

A repaired tank is not the same as the original tank (ask me how I know!). If they screwed up (yes, pun intended) they need to do the right thing and replace the tank with a original equipment replacement. If they will not, let them know that you will turn it over to your insurance who will then sue the dealerships insurance for much, much more money. In the end you will end up with a new tank and the opposing entities can battle it out.
- path1ExplorerLucky you!(really I mean that!) Now find another dealer.
- ScottGNomadHow big is the hole? If it's small enough I would use a solder iron to melt it over. I think that if you let this dealer fix it you'll end up with even more problems.
- downtheroadExplorerOf course you have to get them to replace, not just patch the tank...and of course you realize that when they do replace the entire tank and re-hook the associated plumbing they will mess something else up....sad.

Go back get em to fix it!!!!!!
That, of course, is the plan. I'm going to ask them to replace the tank, as I'm not sure I would be happy with a patch. - OpenRangePullenExplorerGo back get em to fix it!!!!!!
