Dealing with SAE roof connector in factory solar wiring

My Wolf Creek Truck camper has an SAE connector on the roof for wiring the solar panels. Man this looks like a leak waiting to happen. What have others done to replace this? yes I will be using ...

I do like that connector smkettner pointed out.

I did leave enough slack just below the roof so I could pull out the SAE connector if needed, but its already sealed and not leaking so time will tell.
I will keep an eye on it.
