Sorry to hear about shenanigans like that. I would question whether or not the bearing repack was even done correctly. Did they actually replace the seals or clean out the old grease and repack correctly? Or did they pump in a few squirts of grease and call it done? Did they tighten the axle nuts correctly?
We asked our dealer to do a bearing inspection & repack a few years ago. To make a long story short, all they did was remove the drums and put them back on. They over-tightened the axle nuts andI had to use a wrench to undo them. They had claimed the grease seals were blown and wanted $1K to fix it all (on a TT still under a 2 year warranty). Ended up doing what needed to be done myself. Can't trust a dealer (there are some good ones out there tho.). Instead of a dealer, a reputable frame & axle shop would be better.
