Mex, Lifeline says the 20% is for repetitive deep cycling below 50%. It is for the Bulk stage of course. The Bulk stage ends at around 73% SOC doing that, for example.
If you are doing shallow cycles, and stay above 73% you can't achieve the 20%, because the amps are tapering from the start of the recharge.
So what to do? Run the batts down some more so you do get a Bulk stage? How much of a Bulk stage is any good at the 20%? From 50-73 long enough? What about 65 to 73? Too short?
If you shallow cycle but always get back to true full by ammeter and voltage, but never do the 20% (no Bulk stage) are you doomed? Doomed just a little? Should you do a real deep cycle on purpose every month just to get in a 20% run at it?
