Any considerate camper will plan out their use. When I needed a generator at a public camp site, I parked well away from the nearest neighbor. If the campground was packed and I needed a generator I moved on.
But when I started a generator I had a good idea of how many amp hours I had used. 200 amp hours will carry me for a day or so. So if I start the generator for a couple of hours it had better be ready to deliver 100 amps. Sometimes the bank stayed between 50-80% SOC for a week or even two, because of this.
Let the battery recharge time to acheive 100% state of charge occur once a week or every 10 days. But when I start my generator, it isn't going to dribble 30 amps into a single battery.
