Year ago, I replaced a cracked fresh tank in a Class C with a slightly larger tank. The size and location made tapping into the bottom or low on a side difficult at best. Instead, I made up a PVC drop pipe that reached to within a half-inch of the bottom of the tank and was accessible at the top of one side through a flange and elbow. A standard Shur-flo pump can lift about 6 ft dry, so the height was not an issue. Perhaps something like that would work in this case.
