I'm with Mark. Using the battery - actually, not even "using" it, just leaving it hooked up - for a few weeks where it might discharge a bit will harm it?
We dry camp (no hookups) a couple times a year, using only the battery on our TT. Works fine, I run it down "a couple lights", or even to almost dead. I get home and plug the TT in, the onboard charging system charges it, and we go on our next trip. I've replaced the battery once in 10 years, I'm on year 4 of the second battery.
From the original post description, I find it hard to believe the battery would be "damaged".
Having said that... I would be interested in what the original poster finds out if he has the battery "load tested". Maybe I'll adjust the way we dry camp.
