I have had my 27 gallon Thetford SmartTote for over 4 years and use it every summer for a 4 month stint as a camp host. It has made 2-3 trips a week to the dump for a bit over 16 months total and the only problem has been worn out wheel treads. The dump is located about a .5 miles away so over four years and just 2 trips a week I had approx 120 miles on the original wheels. Pretty durable I would think and the front wheels have not pushed up into the tank causing a big leak. The 3" hose hasn't ruptured causing a leak either.
So for a very reasonable cost I have replaced both the rear plastic wheels and the two small ones in the front with metal heavier ones from Tractor Supply and Lowes. I am in no way knocking the Barker units, I am just saying the SmartTote has and continues to work well.
