DO you want to make it DIMMER all the time or only part time?

Take a look at the bulb.. What design is it.
Now go to your local auto parts place. Autozone. Discount auto. Advance Auto. Poop. er. pep boys. O'Rilley's NAPA wherever
Find the light bulb rack and read the wattages on lamps with teh same base. they go down to around 8 or 9 watts as I recall (that's a 90-something bulb) the Read the wattages off the card. And see if you can find one more to your liking.
If you want dim sometimes and bright others. then you need to splice in a dimmer.
