DIMPLEX ELECTRIC FIREPLACE PROBLEMS
My BF8000ST dimplex heater shorted out. I smelled electric burning and the flame started flashing on and off and the smell got worse so i unplugged it....anyone had such problems? if so, let me know. ...

Hey all. I tore into the fireplace after checking the price of a new one ans was amazed at how simple they are. Don't be afread of opening them up. its almost funny how simple they are. My problem was a socket shorted outwhere the light bulb was. Not rocket science. saved 500.00 dollars and spent 5.00..i do wonder why the breaker didn't flip. thanks guys and gals.
