It's all E CAVEAT EMPTOR anyway. A MAGIC SUNSHINE branded oscilloscope can easily turn out to be a colonoscope. Or on the other hand SENSEN shock absorbers can turn out to be GABRIEL gas shocks at half the price. Outsourcing has turned the marketplace into a zoo. Some iron clad no-no's:
Buying anything larger than 22 gauge wire outside the USA. Chinese bolts and bearings are damaged beyond repair before they hit the shipping dock. Wire terminals too.
