Disconnect load before stopping generator?
The topic says it all. This is in the rule book for several brands of generators. Its not in the book for my Yamaha, but Champion and Predator both mention it. So my question is... lets say you run...

My inverter/charger has a time delay before connecting shore or generator power to the RV. I prefer to start the generator, wait for the connection, and then start the loads with the largest first.
When shutting down I prefer to shut down the loads first. I sometimes break that rule of thumb when it is 2 am.
