That's the point of my question. I've read lots of posts on battery maintenance and setup of solar systems, but never saw mention of cutting off the solar feed before checking batteries. Should it be “standard practice” to remove all feed to the batteries before checking water level?
Batteries produce hydrogen gas which is explosive and can be ignited by a spark.
