Concorde has a leg up on other manufacturers. Every battery in every F-18 Super Hornet, B1, B2, F22, F35, is a Concorde. M2 Abrams tank, and (used to be) Humvee is a Concorde.
Glass mat Concorde uses is hideously expensive when purchased in smaller lots and it is NOT exportable. Wicking and circulation properties far superior to that of ordinary glass mat. Allows 100% circulation. 70% thickness of Concorde's glass mat = to 100% thickness of ordinary mat. Same amount of acid. Thin means conductivity.
Concorde purchases tons of silver every year for grids and paste. Helps make finer grain grids and more uniform paste.
Process control for manufacturing grids is laser guided computer CNC controlled. Dimensional accuracy is phenomenal.
Pasting is robotic/laser and is "just in time" synchronized with grid line. Means optimum timing of paste age.
Caging of assembled cells then joining with 120% heavier intercell over the top bus means cells can accept thicker plates without squashing plate cell bus.
