Another cause ... this will cause noise to show up every so often for about 1 second or less. is handshaking. The audio cable is picking up the RF (Radio frequewncy) from the phone.. But that only every time the phone handshakes with the tower.
You where right , I unplugged the phone charger and that solved 95% of my static problems, I think my line in cord connections are weak too , they randomly quit working and then I have to press them back together to get the audio working again , a lot of times when I do that my phones volume will go down to half way , and so I have to keep pushing my connectors together and then turn the volume of the phone back up.
It's really annoying but every time I get it to work it's really nice until the connection comes apart and the audio quits.
