I don't have the same setup, but I sometimes need to fill from a 6 gallon jug and it is too heavy to pick up to the gravity fill. I bought a cheap water pump that mounts on an electric drill and use a battery operated drill. Short hose into jug and short hose into fill spout. While I can't say for sure it would work for you, it wouldn't cost much to try. Got the pump from Harbor Freight Tools.
