It's spin-down I'm concerned with. Many central american systems feed 1-2,000 customers. When the systems bounce offline the engine winds down the regulator says hello to the integral cornering frequency of 55 Hz and self protects by linking field current to Hz. For a few seconds voltage and Hz both are crazy low. Wish the Mega would drop out. I do not know enough about this design to know if it self-protects...
