Domestic RM2852 piezoelectric fires over and over again.
The fridge works fine on both gas and electric but I can hear the piezoelectric going off continuously on either setting. I just bought this fridge 6 months ago....

I think the idea now is to disable the ignitor so it does not spark even with the wire pulled that you did. Then you can operate on AC in peace until May and then get it fixed by a tech.
I don't have that model fridge where on mine I can pull the little white plug with its four wires in it that comes from the ignitor box, going to the power module board.
Somewhere in those drawings of the wiring on yours in that link above around page 14 and 15, you should be able to find how to disconnect the ignitor.
