Dometic 12 cu. ft fridge operating temperatures

I have a dometic 12 cu ft fridge and am having trouble maintaining the fresh food area temperature. Had unit plugged in at home for 2 days before we left for our trip and the temp was 34 turned unit ...

Proper convection behind the refrigerator is often a problem in slides and pop up trailers.

It is due to poor installation. Do some research on RV refrigerator baffles.

I am guessing that since your cooling problems are with both gas and electric, the installation may be the problem.

I added baffles to my Aliner and it made a huge difference. The air must go through the coils rather than around them. Many original installations leave too much open space behind the refrigerator.
