Dometic 2611

I have a question about my 2611 fridge. It seams the check light comes on about once a day, and within an hour it will relight its self. I have replaced the control board in the back of the fridge and also the thermo and burned assembly. Is this normal? Does this model fridge cycle on and off on its own?

    Hey Chris and/or Doug......
Would a bad cable from lower to upper OR a bad upper cause this issue?

I thought 'check light' could only be cleared by turning fridge OFF/ON

Yes, but he installed a DINO board and they have different operational specifics, That is why he needs to talk to Dino Tech. Doug

Battery's are brand new golf cart 6-volt hooked in series first trip out, no florescent lights. Thanks are there anymore thoughts.

Have you called Dinosaur? That is the first thing you need to do. Did you replace all those parts for this problem and you still have the problem? You also have the REIGNITOR that opens the gas valve and starts the Spark. Yes, the refer will cool to the set point and the LP will shut OFF and then relight when it needs to cool again, but this will not cause the Check light to come on. What year model is the RV? Doug

  • Bad 12 volt power- either bad battery. converter or RF interference from something like a bad florescent fixture.
  • Bump. Thanks for the replays. Does anybody else have some ideas!

I thought it was weird that it would restart on its own. Any idea way this it happening?

This is the problem with using Non OEM parts. As the other poster stated, the problem is either the Dino Board or how the Dino Board is set up. Dometic Boards DO NOT have such a problem. I would call Dino and ask them for help with your specific problem. On Dometic boards, once the LP fails to light, the refer shuts down the LP section and throws the Check light. BUT, if on Auto and 120 is available the refer will continue to work on 120. The check light will stay on to remind you that you need to find and fix the LP failure. Doug

  • When 'check light' comes ON the fridge should not reset and retry on it's own.......you have to turn OFF/ON to reset.

Which board did you get for replacement........OEM Dometic?

Sounds like circuit board is still acting up.

Dinosaur Boards are better quality and address the 'reoccurring check light' issue
