Dometic Fridge in our Avalanche

I have looked in our fridge manual and online at the Dometic website, but cannot find anything that has to do with the question I have. Inside the refrigerator there is a plastic slide attached to a wire that you clip to the condenser(?) or whatever that metal thing is..ok im not mechanically inclined. But anyhow, what is it? It the arrow to be pointing to the center of the plastic clip? Or upper or lower? Does it have any purpose? Thanks for your help!

If you mean the sideways pointing arrow in this picture, I think it just points to a shelf support hole.

  • I had the same question. That's not a typical thermostat control device, so I was wondering how it worked myself. Thanks for asking.

  • It is a sensor/thermistor that somewhat controls the temperature. If you slide the clip up on the fin it makes the fridge colder - slide it down has the opposite effect.
